For the last couple of weeks, I feel like the Lord has been saying to me to Wear His Grace. I am still thinking and praying about this and am not even close to where I need to be with it. I know it probably has to do with what I am dealing with at work and how His Grace needs to be clearly evident to others.
But through this time...I have been thinking about His Grace and what that means. And…how can we wear His Grace for others to be blessed? God’s grace is His unmerited favor to us through the incredible gift of salvation he freely gave us. Because of that, We Are Blessed..and from that amazing blessing, His grace should flow out to others from our confidence in that salvation, blessing, and perfect gift.
It is not something we have to “put on” but should flow naturally out from what we have from Him. I know at times, I feel like I have nothing in me that anyone else would want. When Rick had cancer, it was all that I could do to hold onto the hem of His garment. But it was then, too, His Grace was there for me.
So where do we start? Read the following scriptures about grace. Cement them to your heart and ask the Lord to in-dwell that understanding of His Grace into you. When we get it, really get it…it brings that confidence we need to be able to share it with others and minister.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT) God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Paul recognized that whatever he did, it was through His Grace. 1 Corinthian 15:10 (NLT), But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.
Remember its a journey...
